Get's funnier each time I see it...it is a specific sense of humor. If you get it you love it...if you don't, you don't.

Anchorman is a hilarious take on the 1970s when women were really starting to become powers in the workforce. This is a story about Channel 4 News anchor Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), who is used to being the man. Women want to be with him, and men want to be him. His news crew of Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), Champ Kind (David Koechner), and Brick Tamland (Steve Carell) run the city and party every night. But one day, Ron is challenged in the News Room when the station hires hot news reporter Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate). Every man is outraged that the station would hire a woman to report the news. This movie was written by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. They do a great job of capturing at how the 1970s was a big movement for women in the workforce. Veronica stealing the spotlight from Ron shows that women were looked at in this decade to change things up and keep things fresh to keep people interested in whatever it is they were doing. The writers also do a great job making it funny to watch. Will Ferrell always adds his hilarious sense of humor in to keep everyone entertained. Adam McKay does a great job of making sure each character has a personality of his/her own as well as a little backstory for each main character. This is a great movie for anyone who is a big Ferrell fan, or anyone who likes movies that depict the 1970s. The movie also does a tremendous job of getting the look right for the 1970s. The costuming is everything you would hope for when watching a movie taking place in a different time. It makes you feel as if the movie was actually made during the seventies. The moustaches sported by Ron and his friend, Brian Fantana (Rudd), are very thick and stereotypical of the 1970s too. All of this makes the movie just that much more fun to watch. Another thing that makes this movie great is every actor who shows up on camera in this movie. The actors really help capture the situation they are in at every moment. Christina Applegate does a great job of playing a feminist woman who just wants respect, and isn't afraid to speak her mind when something is not just. Will Ferrell does a very good job of playing a womanizing ladies' man who is threatened by change. My personal favorite part of the movie is when Ron is trying to explain to the rest of the crew what love is. He is at a loss of words, since he is still a little confused on the topic. So to explain, he starts singing the song "Afternoon Delight" because the rest of the group knows and loves the song so much. Anchorman does a great job of entertaining anyone who puts the movie on. It's a great movie to watch with your friends, and will have you quoting nearly the whole movie after you are done watching it. The movie has done such a good job of entertaining others in the media, that some TV personalities will impersonate him or repeat lines from the movie on their shows. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay score big with another hit movie. This movie is inappropriate at times for kids under the age of 13, so younger kids should not be watching it. Anyone from ages 13 and up will find something that they enjoy about this movie. It will make older people think back to the seventies and make younger people laugh until no end. I give Anchorman five stars out of five. It was a box office hit, and for good reason.

"We're live right now. I don't believe you." "If you were a man I'd punch you in the face!" "Baxter is that you? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee." "It's called 'Sex Panther' by Odion. Illegal in nine countries." "You woke the bears, why did you do that?" "Diversity is a very old wooden ship." "You know I don't speak Spanish, in English please." "I love lamp." "Agree to disagree." "The man punted Baxter." "You're a smelly pirate hooker." "why don't you go back to your home on Whore Island!" I can go on this movies is awesome!

If your a Will Ferrel fan, this is a must see. Anchorman is a ridiculosly funny movie that many ages will find funny. Will Ferrel plays the main character Ron Burgondy. Me and my friends are always quoting things off of this movie. I also later watched the movie again and my dad walked in and got hooked on this movie. He's not the youngest guy around and he was laughing at everything. In the Anchorman the news crew that will ferrel is apart of has this song that they sing. They made a music video out of it, called afternoon delight. Also in the movie one of the funniest sences that i think is where will ferrel talks to his dog baxter and he says that he's speaking spanish. but the dogs just barking. it's really funny. this is a must see movie.

I wouldn't say this was the best movie of all time, but it was definitely a must-see! All of the main characters were hilarious, especially Will Ferrell. I don't know how the cast kept a straight face in some of the scenes. This movie keeps me in stitches every time I watch it!

I have two words for this movie: My favorite. This movie has an original cast of characters that you will love forever. This movie brought humor to a whole new level. The jokes are A+ quality and the story will keep you watching til the movies’ over and hope for a sequel. This movie had the tremendous Will Ferrel in it who brought this movie to life. I even guarentee that you will laugh at every scene. This Movie is not a one time only movie. This movie can be watched as many times as you want withought getting old. I have use lines form this movie to make me cool with the ladie and now I am. Buying this movie will be one of the best decisions you will make in your whole life, trust me compadre.

As I saw the movie, I found nothing wrong with it, except where he said the F 5 times! The movie was funny, but there nothing in it that is wrong! It was funny, but I felt ripped off, Uncut my Sweddishly-Mexican A**!

This movie had to be the biggest piece of junk I've ever seen. It had to be done simply to mock the viewer who was stupid enough to pay to see it. Everyone in this movie or remotely associated with it should be ashamed.

The greatest movie of all time, out of all the movies in my life, I have never laughed and cried so hard that i nearly wet my pants! It was so funny lines like ''I'm trapped in a glass cage of emotions!'' and 'I ate a giant red candle' I believe for this sort of movie you have to have a great sense of humour because it's so random it's hilarious, the director and writer i love you because you guy's must be awesome to make such a funny movie, I live in new zealand and im waiting till 23rd March when I can take home the DVD for myself, Thankyou to the Ron Burgundy crew I LOVE YOU!

There was no point wat so ever to this movie. It was terrible acting by both Will Farrel and Christina Applegate. It did have some funny parts to it (chocolate squirl) but was quite childish. BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD okay thats enough bads. Maybe one more, BAD. If you were to watch this movie you have to be clinicly insane. BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD! If you havn't gotten the point yet THIS MOVIE STUNK!!!!!!!!!!! If anyone gives this movie a 5 star rating they are also clinicly insane and should be shot twice in the head. But thats just our opinion. So if you want to lose IQ points go ahead and watch the movie.

Will Farrell is one funny dude. Though this movie lacked some of the edge of his other films, it still had me laughing till my stomach hurt. I watch all his movies.

My girlfriends and i had this really lame teacher in junior high, and when we saw the previews for this movie, we knew we had to see it. I honsetly expected it to be one of those stupid comedies that are only funny if you're drunk or sleep deprived:not my tipe of movie(i'm more for puns or plays on words) However, this movie cracked me up! i laughed so hard in certain scenes, i couldn't breathe. The actor who plays 'Brick' you will recognize as 'Evan' from 'Bruce Almighty'-he is so incredibly funny. This movie is a must see!!!
