    Not for an opera aficionado!!!

I bought this DVD thinking that it was what most opera DVD's are, namely, a video presentation of "live" performances. Unfortunately, this DVD presents a set of staged sequences to which Ms. Netrebko lip syncs. If you simply want to look at the beautiful Ms. Netrebko, then this would be an appropriate purchase. If you want to see her singing "live," then obviously this DVD would not be a wise choice.

    Great performances

This dvd has variety and it introduces younger generations to opera arias and it's a has great content. Anna Netrebko's voice is truly clear and easy to understand and one's delighted to hear and see such a beautiful voice in a beautiful soprano.

    The worst DVD

I bought this DVD with expectation of similar quality of Renee Fleming, Cecilia Bartoli, and other great singers' DVDs. It is a complete waste of my money and time. Unbelievably cheaply produced. In every aspect, Anna Netrbko is portrayed as a sex symbol rather than an artist. Her voice and artistry is not a main focus of the DVD. There is no live singing in the program at all but phony lip-sync with awful acting. A High school student can make a music video better than this. MTV music videos are supreme art if compared with this DVD.
