The first film stayed closest to the novels. Both the first and second kept the emotion of the books, even though the second movie left the true plot line quite a bit from the novels in the series. The third movie barely resembled the series and lost the feeling that Montgomery portrayed through her characters in these wonderful coming-of-age novels for readers.

These disc are defective and appear to skip scenes and freeze. This makes the trilogy un watchable.

I have loved the Anne of Green Gable series ever since I first saw them. It is one of the few movies I don't mind watching over and over and I never get sick of it.

These movies will always be classics in my mind. I remember watching these movies with my brothers when we were younger and the boys had as much fun as the girls in my family - they deny it now that they are older. I just remember enjoying these movies immensely. I hope you enjoy these as much as I did!

Anne of Green Gables is one of the best movies ever made. The sequel is excellent. The first two movies are close to the books. The third movie is way off from the books, but still entertaining.

I purchased this DVD in September 2008 and unfortunately didn't watch it until March 2009. One side of two disc's were unwatchable This was an expensive set and of course reading B&N policy it must be returned within 14 days unopened!! How does one know if it's watchable if it is not viewed? DO NOT BUY. Anyway, the Sequel is not as enjoyable as the other two.
