An allegorical nightmare that pulls no punches in presenting a horrifying vision of doomsday, this production of Langgaard's 1930 opera stars Sten Byriel as Lucifer, Camilla Nylund as the Great Whore, Jon Ketilsson as the Scarlet Beast, and Morten Suurballe as the Voice of God. Conductor Thomas Dausgaard leads the Danish National Symphony Orchestra.
