Barnes & Noble - Christina Urban
Originally titled Grace & Favour in the U.K., this 1992-93 series made its way to the U.S. as Are You Being Served? Again!, picking up where Are You Being Served? left off in 1985. When Mr. Grace is killed in a scuba diving accident, the Grace Brothers store is closed down, and rather than find new jobs or go into early retirement, its workers -- Mr. Humphries John Inman, Mr. Rumbold Nicholas Smith, Capt. Stephen Peacock Frank Thornton, Miss Brahms Wendy Richard, and the rainbow-haired Mrs. Slocombe Mollie Sugden -- decide to run the hotel operations of a large Tudor house, Millstone Manor, in the British countryside. Events never run smoothly for the group and hilarity ensues, such as the visit by riot police after a gun is found, the return of Mrs. Slocombe's long-lost husband, and the discovery of a petrified cat in the attic that brings about supernatural events. This 2-disc collection contains all 12 episodes from both seasons of this charming if short-lived program.

The gang is all here again

This is a nice compliment to the original series. Great fun and the old gang returns with new characters introduced into the new situations. However it is a disapointment that it ends abruptly and does not complete the story.

    more from this reviewer

    another great BBC production

I have followed thes characters for many years. This continuation of the "Are You Being Served" series is great. While the people have remained the same, the roles have changed and it makes for great comedy. Mr Humphrey's role is really funny. His interplay with the farmer's daughter is a centerpiece performance.
A must have for anyone enjoying British humor.

    Are you being served again?

I really loved this series. If you liked AYBS, then you will love the gang in their retirement years. I wish there were more to this series.

Just as funny (if not more so) than the original series

If you liked AYBS? the original series - I think you'll love this one as well. Some wonderful new characters in the mix with the best of the superbly talented original cast. BBC One rocks!

Not as good as the department store version

I was disappointed with this series. I like the department store version a lot better. This just didn't make me laugh.

    Not a disappointment!

My husband and I so enjoyed "Are You Being Served?" and thought this DVD might prove to be disappointing but were pleasantly surprised to find it highly entertaining. The stars have aged but are still alive and kicking up the usual hijinks in a series one wishes would have been longer lasting.
