For those who like "end of the world" movies, this is definitely one to watch.

It starts out rocky but everything falls in line from then on. It's an optimistic movie before 9/11 when America was still respected and revered and Bruce Willis's had some stars in it, all puns intended. It was an enjoyable movie but one that if it ever happened we'd be screwed.

Armageddon is a movie of fate with a dash of humor thrown in. Armageddon is a movie about an astroid coming to hit Earth. A group of people are sent to stop it and what a bunch they are. They made me laugh because every person has his own special personality. This movie is a very serious movie, but the humor keeps it from being too serious. I believe that Armageddon is a great movie and one that many people would enjoy.

This movie flat out ROCKS. There were so many special moments, like when the one overweight guy drilled wrong, or when bruce was shooting at ben. Its those kind of moments that make you really think about life in general. Cuz if Bruce would have shot Ben, then Ben would not have been able to come to the rescue at the end. So the moral here is to value everyone around you, cuz you never know when a big rock will hit the earth. This movie had a lot of moments like that. I am an avid rock collector, but after seeing this, i have put all my collected rocks in my driveway

Having read one other review of this movie, I find myself in disagreement. It was an exciting movie, had a number of truly poignant moments, a few scenes that were rather funny (Willis going after his daughter's boyfriend on the oil rig) and many exciting situations. I disagree with the assessment that ''it could never happen''. Given the vastness of our universe and the huge amounts of natural space debris, it is amazing that it has not happened to this point. A few near misses and a few times that smaller asteroids have hit the earth are evidence that it could happen. Loved the movie.
