In spite of its simplicity, this workout is tough and thorough. She reminds the practitioner of every inhale and exhale, allowing the viewer to really focus on the body/breath connection throughout the flows.
I'm coming off of two difficult pregnancies where I was couch bound for the majority of the time, and I've found that I've lost massive amounts of muscle and stamina. I've done yoga before, and these poses are not new to me, but I'm finding them quite a challenge as my body struggles to remember it's old strength. Anyone looking for a video that will just show you a bunch of exotic looking poses to attract your attention will not like this. This video is good for creating a base to do those 'exotic' poses!
I feel that there are better selections to choose from. There is no way I could use this DVD on a regular basis. It is far too slow and instructional. Skip Doane and Corn.
This is a decent intro to Ashtanga. I appreciated the instruction, but I wanted something more.
