A Must Have for Parents and Kids

I have watched this at least 15 times with my son and each time is like a new experience. There's so many toys and motions displayed that it takes a few viewings to catch them all. This is great, as it's entertainment when baby's wide awake or helps soothe to sleep when tired. He's liked this since 3 months!

    One Big Toy Commercial

We were excited to receive this as a shower gift, because we had heard so many rave reviews. But when we finally sat down to watch it with our 5 month old son, we were disappointed to discover that this video shows just a bunch of moving toys (no natural scenes or musical instruments), and the toy manufacturers get several plugs not only on the video, but also in a bonus feature, and on the website. It looked like one big commercial targeted to the youngest consumer. Some of the toys looked fun and I even found myself mesmerized at times, but I would rather have my son play with the toys he already has, and his friends, than to have a TV babysitter teaching him that he needs even more toys.

Not very educational. Try 'Lots To Learn' instead.

As a new Mom, I've heard of the Baby Einstein series of tapes and gave a couple of them a try. To be honest-, They seemed a bit bland and thoughtless. The music wasn't truly classical, as the instruments were all digital. The images were seemingly thrown together in order to get another video produced. It kept my baby's attention for a bit, but that was basically it. Other Mom's who have kids the same age as mine (just past two) and above, have recently discovered 'Lots To Learn' which combines a lot of fun music, alphabet, counting, shapes, colors etc, and has won numerous awards. There are two out so far, Lots To Learn: Nature, and Lots To Learn: In My House. I tried In My House and we all love it. My neighbor has Lots To Learn: Nature and her kids can't get enough of it. They run around all day singing the songs and asking to watch again.. I think you'll like it more than the babysitting tapes that are out there now. Lisa M.

    Amazing video

I was introduced to this series as a babysitter and I was very impressed. I was keeping a 7 month old at the time and when I would put in the video she would immediately focus all of her attention on it. She would watch the video time and time again for 20 to even 45 min. Even her brother who was 2 at the time would sit down and watch. Truly a lifesaver!!

    Get Baby Einstein

I had never heard of this dvd/vhs but my daughter in law got one at her baby shower. After the baby was born she started showing it to my grandson about the time he turned 3 months old and he was caught up with all the colors, music and movement. I have now purchased several myself for my grandson and granddaughter. The babies really enjoy them and I highly recommend them.

OK to occupy but better alternatives for music and stimulation

The Baby Einstein videos are good babysitters if you need a break in the day but I wouldn't consider them useful if you're a believer in the Mozart Effect. The music is synthesized and the images are just random. Alternatives like Juno Baby are stronger developmentally but not as easy to find. I think they're only available on their website and not in any stores which complicates life. I do like the break in the day but if I had the choice, I'd rather my son play by himself with classical music in the background.

My 17 month old loved it!

I was skeptical at first but I couldn't believe it. My son won't sit still for anything, but he will sit on the floor or sofa and watch this video. He also hated the high chair but will now sit there without complaining and eat if we put the video on. He even laughs and claps when we put the DVD in, even before it starts, because he knows what's coming! Then he touches the screen trying to grab the visuals. It's amazing. Plus, I'm a classically trained musician and I love that he's getting this kind of musical exposure in a format that's age-appropriate.

    Still my daughter's favorite

This video calmed my daughter's colic from a newborn, and at 9 months old it remains one of her favorites.

    Amazing

The entire series is wonderful. I have 4 grown children and was always against putting kids in front of the TV. I now have identical twin grand- daughters and bought this video on a recommendation from a friend. The twins were GLUED to the TV even as 3 month old infants. It gave me a much needed 30 minute break!! The music and the images are beautiful. The creator of these films is a genius. Buy them all!

It is too WEIRD, my 4 month old LOVES this . . .

My little baby girl got this video a few days ago, and when her dad came home last night, she was so engaged with watching it, she just acknowledged his existence and continued to watch the tape! She loves the music and loves the tornados and puppets.

    Engages infants!

As one who strongly supports reading to children, I was a ¿little¿ anti-TV for my youngster, until watching ¿Baby Van Gogh,¿ which is another video produced by the same company. ¿Baby Mozart,¿ instantly engages infants, and babies with real world objects, while stimulating auditory senses with classically arranged musical pieces. My son was immediately mesmerized from the first viewing, two-months old, and remains fascinated to this day, now fifteen months old. I heard about Baby Einstein products from friends, but did not become interested until I learned of the company¿s dedication to providing financial support to MANY children¿s charities such as the Autism Society of America, Ronald McDonald House, The Eden Institute, a leading school for educating autistic children, and a host of other organizations committed to children with special needs. I now own several Baby Einstein videos and most of the companion books ¿ they are excellent educational tools.

    A Baby Favorite

This is my baby's favorite video, I can't count how many times he's watched it. Instead of trying to attract a baby's attention with loud music or bright colors, Baby Mozart uses real toys and classical music. When he was an infant he would sit quietly and watch, and now that he is older he dances to the music. I can always count on a solid 30 minutes to myself when this is on.

Great video! I highly recommend it!

We got this video when my son was 3 mths old and he loved it immediately. It captured his attention and kept him fixated which was a huge lifesaver for me. I could hop in the shower with the door open while he sat in his bouncy seat watching the video, happy as can be. He is now 13 mths old and still loves it. His favorites now arem Baby Doolittle and Baby Van Gogh which are for the older crowd. Baby Mozart and Baby Bach are wonderful and a must have for all parents for little ones!

Baby Einstein - Baby Mozart Music Festival

Sorry, we bought all these tapes. I got mixed up in reviewing the video. Baby Mozart is ok, but still not as good as the baby genius series

Baby Einstein - Baby Mozart Music Festival

We found that both parents and baby like the baby genuis tapes because it is all classical music which is nice to listen to. This tape spends about 6 minutes advertising itself, and does not use classical music, but many foreign languages. It would be a great addition to tapes, but it is not the one i enjoy the most.

    Captivating for little ones

A friend sent me Baby Mozart while I was expecting my first child and claimed that it freed her to take care of household tasks for a half an hour. I have recently put my 2 1/2 month old son in front of the TV in his bouncer seat and he loves watching this video. He smiles and coos at the brightly colored toys and images while bouncing up and down with excitement. This video has become a lifesaver for when I need to make some important business calls and I don't feel guilty for just plopping him in his swing. A must for all parents to regain a little sanity!

If you have a baby, you must get this video!!

My 4 month old grandson tired quickly of rattles, handheld toys, baby gyms, TV, but this video was a hit from day one. He sits in his little bouncy seat and is enraptured by the sights, sounds & music of Baby Mozart. It is not unusual for him to view the video twice in one day, which gives his Mom one glorious hour of freedom to do other work. For a grandmother or parent, it is also a wonderful interactive experience with your baby - pointing out & naming the pictures on the screen and moving to the music. This is a must-have for anyone with a baby!
