    For children 8 months and younger, for sure.

    My family has collected a modest total of 7 Baby Einstein videos for our now 10 month old, with this being a recent addition to our collection. I should've paid closer attention to the age recommendation- While perfectly appropriate in pace (and lack of extensive puppet scenes) for babies 0- maybe 8 months, this video is way too slow for our 10 month old. Our daughter finds it boring and rarely watches the whole thing without a lot of encouragement. This is the only B.E. video we put in that is received with crying.... at least at first. Other reviewers are certainly correct in that the music is wonderful, even some of the visuals. Our daughter does at least enjoy the 40% of the video that involves carefully lit shots of spinning ornaments, but she's consistently disappointed in the thinly sketched and rare puppet scenes. This video simply plays as an older, lower budget video in the cannon. Keep this in mind if your child is in the older baby range... Might still be worth purchasing for a short-use holiday intro, but- obviously- don't expect a lot of use past the month of December.

    Charming & simple

    This is what made Baby Einstein so great - simple footage of sparkling ornaments, holiday songs & toys, footage of children doing holiday things, and none of it overly slick or geared to push any sales of anything. The video doesn't change perspective every 7 seconds like the god awful childrens' programming on television and cartoons these days - it's slow paced, visually lovely and uncomplicated. Just right for babies and new toddlers. It's NICE and has no agenda - how rare is that?

    baby einstein collection is awesome

    This video is a great way to famialiarize your very little one with the fun associated with the holidays while enjoying beautiful music
