Some time later, Ambrose is out near the beach when he sees two tourists in trouble near the cliff and attempts to rescue them -- with tragic results. Feeling guilty, Niamh distances herself from Sean and decides to leave BallyK for Dublin. But their romance drives Sean to find Niamh in Dublin and propose to her, leading to the series ender, "The Wedding." Elsewhere in town, Quigley (Tony Doyle) decides to rent Fitzgerald's to Oonagh Dooley (Marion O'Dwyer), despite the fact that she is the wife of prison convict Paul Dooley (Owen Rose). And in the BallyK tradition that first shot Assumpta Fitzgerald across Father Peter Clifford's bow, Father Aidan O'Connell begins to question his vocation when faced with the formidable pheromonal presence of BallyK policewoman Frankie Sullivan (Catherine Cusack). Colin Farrell -- going by "Col" here -- finishes his short stint as BallyK's Danny Byrne this season, in unspectacular fashion.
