a must see for all eddie izzard fans

i was not sure what to expect when i purchased this documentary on the life of eddie izzard. i only knew that this colorful comedian has a beautiful sense of humor and that each time i watch any of his stand-up shows i am on the edge of my seat wanting more. that said, i wound up the old dvd player and sat down with what turned out to be a very moving story about the rise, the fall and the comeback of one of the most talented comedians of all time. you will no doubt understand where his heart and soul begins and just how far his tenacity and perseverance has brought him. it will make you laugh until you fall out of your seat and cry as well. when life gave this man a hard knock he simply refused to stay down. absolutely inspiring!!

Believe: The Eddie Izzard Story (DVD)

There are two interesting definitions of the word genius: from Roman mythology meaning "the Guardian Spirit of a person or place" and from the Latin "Guardian Spirit."

Believe: The Eddie Izzard Story is the inspirational embodiment of both definitions.

He has invited us in this documentary to be touched by the Guardian Spirit of his Mum, who died when Eddie was quite young. He has invited us to witness his extraordinary intellectual creative power in the most grueling make or break of marathons called Comedy. The documentary time-line is a fascinating series of personal interviews, and short performance clips of Eddie finding his way back to the place he was destined to be. The final scene is one of Eddie's truest moments. One in which his Mum would be most proud. He gives part of his heart.

Eddie Izzard is the Guardian Spirit of us all and "Believe: The Eddie Izzard Story" proves it.
