This is a great movie! It included the 2nd continuing movie as well. Unlike many of the reviews online, this movie truly depicted the REAL details of the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder, from the beginning of THE LONG WINTER to past the FIRST FOUR YEARS. Unlike the book, where Mrs. Wilder changed some of the characters names (Mr./Mrs. Brewster) to hide their true identity since their true characters were less than admirable, the movie used the REAL facts. Many people don't know which of the details from her novels were 100% true so thus it was refreshing to see it in an honest depiction. It was a little choppy due to the movie time constraints but directors made sure all the different scenes matched up together very well. All the important events happened. There are small details that were obvious, like Laura's hair being blonde and worn down all the time but it did not take away from the film one bit. Actually having Laura's hair down helped depict how free her pioneer spirit wanted to be. Only small details were changed but in the end, Wonderful films. A treasure I will keep always.
