I wasn't impressed with 100% of the movie but it shows some great moments, and the way it ties the bible account of what happened together is just remarkable. I loved the actors who played Jezebel ("Jazz"), Elijah ("Mehran Haq"), Prince Ahab (Prince of Omri in the movie, Ahab was in fact the son of Omri so that is factually authentic). Even where the movie "plays around" with the details, it is amazing how it achieves its plot without violating the basic story arc of scripture. You really do forget that it's a bible movie, only to realize later on that it is! It is hard to describe how this was achieved. What I do know is that it is rather low budget, so if you insist on A-list actors, expensive sets, CGI to the max, you won't like this. I think if you accept the movie on its own terms, you will be glad you saw it. Finally there is a movie post 1953 that gives us the account of the famous prophet Elijah. Was this review helpful?
