If you like vampire movies this one will entertain you. The DVD is well done and the extras are great. All in all, this is a great film, and I think other's would like it.
This movie was fantastic. A little Ghost in the Shell and a little Vampire Hunter D all in all a great film. Wish it was just a little longer.
This was so cool. It had a nice story, good characters, and the animation was awsome!! I hope they make a sequel to this. The only thing that flawed this movie was the length; I found it too short. But it was a great movie.
ok, lets get one thing straight: i MUST agree with all the people that say that BLOOD: the last vampire LOOKS good. But come on people, it doesn't have enough plot to even be called a MOVIE. All that innovative CGing aside, all the tricks and special effects thrown out, and what do you have left? 43 minutes of ABSOLUTELY nothing. ( not to mention that the box says 83 minutes, which is a really cheap trick to get people to buy it as a full length movie!)
Ok, so it didn't have a whole lot of a plot. But then again, the Matrix had Keanu Reeves as our lord and savior, so whaddyagonnado. This visual feast has some of the most memorable moments I've ever seen in an anime. If you have a big TV and surround sound, this will be a special treat for you: I got to see this at my friend's house on a projector screen, and it blew my mind.
Wow... that's all I can really say when it comes to the visuals. But that really is all you hear in regards to this movie. And the story... well - That's gonna make you a little mad. So many loose ends - so little answers. If only this was longer... Great ''dual dubbing'' - although the english speaking character's lips look odd - as if they are not actually saying what they are saying. It's a little distracting - but hey -the visuals were good!
''Blood'' is a brilliant vampire flick for when you're in the mood for nothing more then cool moody artwork, graphic fight scenes, and an awesome plot line! Although, the story line is a little too short to grow attached to any of the characters, its pacing takes you on a wild, fun ride!
I've seen over 300 anime, so I feel safe in saying the animation quality was just awful. It gave me horrible memories of the animated Lord of the Rings. The combination of lineless 3DCG & lined cell animation was a complete mess & it would seem that 3DCG was applied over line animation because of how accurate the movement & shapes are. It fells more like live footage than animation. While the character designs were realistic, they were also hideous. The movie is WAY too short & the story is boring & cram packed with mystery only its manga or series readers could answer, assuming it has either. The ONLY good things about this movie were the colors, sound, & texture.
Okay, I really like this movie. I actually watched it twice in a row (easy because of how short it is) and liked it just as much. The problem with it (and I know, it's a big one) is the plot. In 40 minutes, how much plot can you get? I would love to see a full-length movie of this. The animation and CG stuff was amazing. And there were some really incredible sequences in the movie which is what I believe made me appreciate it so much even with the lacking plot. There are some great ideas in there that stick in your head long after you've finished watching. I wouldn't recommend paying the $22 dollars for it on here, but if you can find it used or cheap, pick it up. It's not the greatest anime out there, but it's a good one if you want to watch a short, visually stunning movie.
One of my favorites next to Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust and Hellsing. Although sadly short but still an awesome movie, the title tells all where you can expect lots of gore and a character that's considered to be the last of her kind. The vampire hunter fighting machine goes undercover as a student at a girls school during october the month of halloween. But when night falls she shows her true colors and battles the monsters that roam in the halls after hearing of reports of murders and accidents at the school.
this is an awesome and amazing movie at the same time but short though the character is awesome too especially the sword. plus its show blood plus is also awesome too. you have girl killer fighter sword vampire killer out hunting down creepy creatures while posing as a student. what is interesting is that she came just when its halloween.
