Body of LiesDirector: Ridley Scott, Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, Mark Strong
Fresh off of their success with director Martin Scorsese's The Departed, star Leonardo DiCaprio and screenwriter William Monahan team with director Ridley Scott for this screen adaptation of David Ignatius' novel Body of Lies. When CIA operative Roger Ferris (DiCaprio) uncovers evidence indicating that a major terrorist leader may be operating out of Jordan, he enlists the aid of CIA veteran Ed Hoffman (Russell Crowe) in infiltrating the elusive saboteur's vast underground network. During the course of his dangerous mission, Ferris gradually comes to question how much he can trust his presumed allies -- who include not just Hoffman, but the outwardly helpful head of Jordanian intelligence as well.

Okay this movie was by far the most boring action movie. The story didn't make sense, well to me. But it wasn't any good. I regret watching it.
As directed by Ridley Scott, "Body of Lies" is an engrossing, tense spy thriller adapted by William Monahan ("Departed") from a novel by "Washington Post" columnist David Ignatius. It's a long movie, but I was never aware of its length, as the film is tautly paced and never lets up.
Shot on location, "Body of Lies" is a gritty depiction of espionage in the Middle East. As the title suggests, the movie is all about lies within lies. In the end everyone is deceiving and exploiting everyone else and nobody can be trusted.
The hero, Roger Ferris, himself a CIA liar, realizing deception is the name of the game, is finally revolted by it, and comes to terms with it his way. His boss, Hoffman, on the other hand, could care less about the dissimulation and the manipulation. Ever the pragmatist, the overweight Hoffman cares only about results. For him the end justifies the means. He has no problem with that--and the beat goes on, as far as he's concerned.

The cinematography looked good. The story was interesting. Some of the performances were good.
this movie is def one of the better movies to own. gripping storyline and fantastic acting by everyone.
Great job all around. This movie kept my interest throughout. Get this one to watch more than once.
This is a great fast moving action thriller. It has deception, love, and frustration. Great read. I want to read his other books.
Fine movie from Ridley Scott. He always delivers a well put together film. His touch is always interesting. Actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, Mark Strong and Golshifteh Farahani are very good in this.
