Overview

Sex and youth run rampart in Body Shots, the dramatic story about the consequences of combining alcohol and sex in the 1990s. New Line has done a very nice job on this 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. Coming close to reference quality, all aspects of the picture are near-perfect including the colors, black levels, and fleshtones. Edge enhancement is not spotted during the feature, and all digital artifacting and shimmer are kept to the bare minimum. A 1.33:1 standard version of the film is also included on this disc. The audio is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 and is quite directional, especially during the nightclub or dance scenes. While there are a few spots of distortion, overall this track is mixed evenly, with surround sound use maximized. Also included on this disc are English subtitles. The only extra features on Body Shots is a theatrical trailer as well as some cast and crew information. While fans of this film may enjoy the feature (with a shot of tequila, of course), the extra features will end up leaving them as dry as a gin and tonic.

If you like Tara Reid and the blonde from CSI Miami, you'll love this movie. They both ''bare all'' for this movie, especially Tara Reid. There is an amazing scene of Tara taking a guy home and making him feel... at home.

This movie is better than you might think from the title. The great thing about this movie is that it has Amanda Peet and other young actors, in very good roles. An excellent social commentary on the general bar scenes, and even more so about the LA Bar scene.
