Bugsy MaloneDirector: Alan Parker, Scott Baio, Jodie Foster, Florrie Dugger
Here's the basic "shtick" of Bugsy Malone: it's a gangster picture enacted by children. Acted out before scaled-down sets, the film details the career of Bugsy Malone (Scott Baio), who rises to the top of the criminal ladder in 1920s New York. Whenever gunfire is called for, the kiddie crooks substitute whipped cream for bullets. Paul Williams contributes several songs, which are performed by adult singers and lip-synched by the pint-sized actors. The cast includes John Cassisi as diminutive Capone clone Fat Sam, and then-13-year-old Jodie Foster as the sultry nightclub thrush Tallulah.

Love this movie but would love to see it for region 1 USA.
Bugsy Malone, a must see for all the family no matter what your age, i've seen the film so many times I've lost count. The music is brilliant and my favourite song has got to be the down and outs song. The kids acting was great their proffesionalism was great, they couldn't have gotton better actors if they'd tried.
I am sure i am not alone in my passion for the movie, major stars all captured at youth immitating adults??? It cant get any better than that BUT IT DOES! Micheal Jackson playing piano and singing!!! Never since that movie have I been as involved emotionaly intillectualy and passionately as I did the first time I saw it... roughly '77. I will even go as far as to say that we should make sure our children and neices and nefews see Bugsy, I believe it definetely opens creative thinking. If there is a show bizz spark in a child it will be seen on his/her face as they watch this incredible masterpeice.
This is my all time favorite movie & now my daughter loves it too! What great childhood memories this film brings to me and sharing it with my family and friends is just as fun as it was way back in'76! Fat Sam (Johnny Cassisi) & Tallulah(Jodi Foster) are awesome! You'll love it!
This movie is hilarious, it is funny, and there is just something about it that makes you want to watch it again and again and again!!! At first we all thought (my 7th grade classmates) that the movie was going to be stupid and boing. But we loved it and i highly recommend it to all generations!!!!
The acting, singing (though lip-synched), and dancing is awesome! It's a great family movie. Kids get to watch a movie where a fight involves food, not fists. Where guns shoot whipped cream, not bullets. Watching Bugsy Malone as an adult brought back great childhood memories. Specifically, when my dad would set up the 16mm projector in the backyard and we would watch Bugsy Malone with family and friends.
bugsy malone is the best movie in the world. I love all the singing and dancing.
