Overview

Michael Moore's political satire Canadian Bacon comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English and Spanish soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. Spanish and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include the original theatrical trailer. This is a by-the-numbers release from MGM/UA, but considering its inexpensive list price, it will be worthwhile for fans of Moore's irreverent style.

the only movie like it that ive ever seen. i live far from canada (florida) but i could only imagine if something like that happened. canadians are the enemy!

I don't think the previous review actually saw this movie. John Candy leads a group of AMERICANS across the border into CANADA. They litter because they think that will drive the supposedly always-neat Canadians crazy.

Rip Torn is hilarious, as is the guy with the conspiracy theory ('the metric system, for the love of Christ!') - I don't know his name. That and the insult about Canadian beer causing a ruckus - my kinda movie.

I can't stop laughing when I watch this movie, probably because I am not a US citizen, so I don't feel insulted (though I am a long-time US resident. When I first saw this movie a few years ago, I thought this was very funny and nicely exaggerated. Today, I am freigthened that much of the events in the movie are actually happening in the real world (though the bad guys aren't the Canadians).

Very funny moments and the only good movie that Michael Moore ever made.

''... then we'll level Toronto.'' Hilarious flick with piles of exagerated stereotypes. Considering the whole movie is based of the US foreign policy of perpetual war, it is reality-based enough that all the scenes are plausible.

I liked this movie very much. It had humor and canucks (My Canadian Friends.) My family liked it too.

This is a hilarious movie that should be watched by anyone who has ever visited Canada, or has a Canadian relative. Non-stop laughs.
