    A reviewer

The Captain & Tennille's Christmas Show leans a bit more in the direction the duo wanted their show to go by focusing more on music than comedy sketches and letting guest stars Tom Bosley and Don Knotts handle the bulk of the comedy. The music is left to the musicans. Although the sketches are pleasant, they still are not the funniest ever to grace a variety show-ABC just never did that well, but they're far from the worst an ABC variety show ever produced either. The music numbers are absolute gems featuring top notch performances from all with genuine chemistry between the Tennille and Pointer Sisters. This is a DVD you'll want to add to your Holiday collection to enjoy again and again. You'll also want to watch at least once with the honest, candid, commentary track with Toni and Daryl. It's quite entertaining and informative including tidbits about the various keyboards Daryl plays.
