    Carrier has the right stuff

    This is the 3-set DVD from the 10-hour series on PBS about Navy life during a 6-month deployment on the USS Nimitz. The documentary crew had amazing access and the results is a riveting, entertaining and at times tense and tragic view of life at sea and in port. It's surprising that the Navy didn't censor some of the scenes and opinions, but that's what makes the viewing so authentic. An ex-Navy colleague says the series is just amazing, and he even read more about the making of the documentary on pbs.org's web site.

    Utterly Amazing!

    I first saw this series on PBS and I've watched all 20 hours of it everytime it has been on since...it's so interesing and informative, even for someone who isn't at all interested in the Navy, like me. I would say it's worth buying!
