Patience Philips (Halle Berry) seems destined to spend her life apologizing for taking up space. Despite her artistic ability -- she has a more than respectable career as a graphic designer for Hedare Beauty, a Goliath cosmetics company -- Patience is excruciatingly shy, quick to take blame, and, not surprisingly, more than a little depressed at the end of the day. This comes to somewhat of a screeching halt when Patience not only inadvertently lands herself in the middle of a corporate conspiracy of gargantuan proportions, but on the city police force's most wanted list. Newly quipped with a mysterious feline prowess, Patience is a different person come nighttime -- more accurately, a catwoman. Elusive, untamed, powerful, stealthy, and not necessarily prone to erring on the side of good, Patience has gone from doormat to vigilante. Police officer Tom Lone (Benjamin Bratt), who has fallen for shy Patience, is determined to apprehend Catwoman and figure out her role in a recent crime spree, though his fascination with her doesn't cease with the end of his shift and it threatens to lead to the downfall of himself, his investigation, and the woman who was once the timid Patience Philips.

I loved this movie! And to anyone who says that she didn't do any of the stunts herself, you're wrong! I saw a behind the scenes thing and found out that she did most of the stunts my herself. I like the fact that they made a movie about Catwoman because she can be a good guy and bad guy, she has a lot of class, and she has this fierceness about her that make you want to think, "I wouldn't want to meet her up a dark alley" which I think is very cool. So, buy the DVD. You wont regret it.
I'm not a critics' fan -- never was, never will be -- but they have it wrong. Catwoman is an entertaining movie full of character transformations that puts Halle Berry at one of her most creative ventures. Once the catwoman, she oozed with confidence, control and strength -- I loved it! You go, girl!
...I still love this movie!!! Don't get me wrong...it has it's share of flaws, but the critics just destroyed a movie that was actually quite good. Yes...the didn't have Oscar-worthy performances or an epic storyline like "The Dark Knight" or "Watchmen," but it surely had heart. It's just a really fun-sexy movie that you can watch over and over. I love it...and as long as your not some crazy movie critic...you'll enjoy it too. GO CATWOMAN.
I was very happy with the movie, and my expectations of this movie were correct. It was exciting, and sorta had a different twist to it compared to other superhero films. I definately feel that the critics rated this movie wrong, and if I were to rate this movie I would give it 5 stars. I can not wait for this movie to come out on dvd because I am definately buying it.
This movie wasn't close to what people said about it. It wasn't boring but it makes you want to be able to move like she can . So I recommend this movie. And ignore what the critics say about this movie.
My 5 year old daughter and I look at this movie together and we both wanted to be catwomen. All that strength coming from a women, Wow. It had a good story line and it is a must see. I recommend purchasing the DVD.
Ok I will admit that the critics were extremely wrong about the story of the movie, but once the action started to come into play the action was CG. That took all the fun out of the movie. Halle Berry didn't do one single move by herself. And besides the fact that the action was in CG the CG looked really fake. So pretty much if your gonna make a movie with that much CG why wouldn't you just make it a computer animated movie. So it was a good story, but too much CG.
I thought Catwoman was a good movie, and I felt that the critics were totally wrong. I really can not stand how they belittle some good movies such as this one. Very exciting, and althought did not follow the story of Selina Kyle we still saw a similar character with Patience. Hopefully, they will actually make a sequel (but I doubt it).
"Catwoman" was definitely Halle's movie because it she was sexy, independent, and confident in her own skin. Plus, it had the perfect elements of an action/adventure movie.
This movie was a lot better than most people said at the time. It was at least as good if not better than the first Spiderman, and beat Hulk, and damn sure beat Hell Boy by miles. It would have done better in the thearters if everybody had given it a fair change.
