Rarely does a performance come along that instantly hooks me on the artist or the music at first exposure. Celtic Thunder is the exception. I unintentionally watched the PBS special this week and was immediately convinced that I had to own both the DVD and the CD. I purchsed both yesterday and have watched the DVD twice, and some of the pieces four or five times. This is a show/group destined to go far. Not since hearing Josh Groban before he became a household name have I been so captivated upon first impression. Each of the singers is not only an outstanding voice, but also displays outstanding personality. I have never purchased a music DVD before, but having the CD would be only half the pleasure. The Concert has such passion and depth. The simple choreography, powerful music and dramatic staging, combined with the personalities of the diverse group make this a compelling and addictive performance. I will be online to purchase tickets for the tour the minute they go on sale, even though the closest scheduled concert is over 100 miles away. This group makes my Irish pride swell. I highly recommend this DVD and the CD as well.

I just love this DVD and the CD. I own both and I have practically wore them both out playing them all the time. Celtic Thunder is an amazing group of guys - all with tremendous talents. I have all of their cd's and DVD's and can't wait for their next one.

This DVD is great to relax and enjoy. The music is engaging, the performances are fun, and the guys are just plain easy to look at.
Nice to have some music and video to enjoy that is not violent, demeaning to women, or vular. Good clean, family entertainment.
I Love Celtic Thunder and this show is Fantastic! I even bought my mom a copy and she loves it as well. The music is geared to every generation and I know everyone gets a kick out of Damian's "Puppy Love" and also "Ireland's Call" and "Caledonia"! This is definelty a DVD everyone must own and if you cant get out to see them live this is just as good!!

The Show showcases five Celtic gentleman performing Celtic music, as well as contemporary music. The lads are excellent singers, and the band and orchestra are accomplished musicians. This is a highly entertaining DVD that you will want to watch again and again.

This DVD captures the entertainment value of the live production. Though it is most definitely Celtic-themed, the selected songs and their rendering reach a far broader audience. The members are so well-chosen it seems there must have been destiny involved in their selection. Each is so unique, so different from the other; yet the synergy when they perform together is - magical. And to finally see Phil Coulter, a true master, conducting was - nothing short of inspirational; I've been listening to his CDs for years. I recommend this DVD! You'll watch it again and again.

I hope more of the groups concert videos become available in the future.

We first viewed this DVD through Net Flix and found the music, voices and personalities so entertaining that we not only bought the DVD, but also two of Celtic Thunder's CDs. In addition to our enjoyment, other family members (including grandchildren) and friends have delighted in watching the DVD with us. We've also bought the DVD as gifts and plan to continue as occassions arise. If you a like a variety of music and voices, you'll want this DVD.

I came upon this show by chance while looking for something worthwhile to watch on TV, found it on PBS, and was instantly captivated. The voices of the performers, music by the orchestra, and presentation were wonderful. These talented Irish guys offered their vocal efforts in an interesting mix of ranges and styles, I loved seeing the musicians smiling when young Damian sang, and I was struck by how powerful the simple presentation of the show was. I wanted to see them in person, and got to do so during their U.S. concert tour. Simple remained the theme - no stage flashiness or performer antics (except for a little wagging of the kilt's back side by Paul!) to distract from the beauty of the concert. This is a refreshingly, classy act!

This dvd of celtic thunder is wonderful. The guys range in ages from 15 to 40 and their voices and music all blend in so wonderful. I have watched this dvd everyday since i have got it. I can't put it down. I even have the cd in my car playing all the time also. I took the dvd to the hospital when i had surgery just so i could have something descent to watch on tv while i was there for my stay. Excellent. I got tickets to their concert and meet and greet in my hometown for when they come in november. I can't wait. Even my 9 year old and 2 year old likes this group.. Can not go wrong in the choice of the dvd or cd.

I now finally p/u my own copy of the Celtic Thunder DVD in June '08"better late than never, right?" I saw them on a NY PBS channel performance program back in March 2008. At the time I just happened upon the program & I was instantly entertained w/their talents. Now I can enjoy their program on DVD. Looking foward to their November tour at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island w/much anticipation. Continued success Celtic Thunder!!

Overall, this is the best concert DVD i've owned in years. However,a couple of things.... Although Damien's version of "Young Love" was well done"lovely smile on that boy as plays to the audience of mums and young girls!",i could have done without the sight of three grown men"Paul,Ryan and Keith dressed in t-shirts with his picture on them"fawning over him like...young girls. Kinda creepy. Also, why isn't George's performance of "Yesterday's Men" not in the actual show? Why is it s "bonus track"? It should have been included instead the music video/commercial for Irish tourism. Still,a solid effort not to be missed.

I enjoyed watching these talented men when they performed on the Long Island PBS program in early March, 2008. Just by chance I happened to be searching the channels for an interesting program (so many channels & nothing is on). Then this program caught my eye and ear as well, I was instantly mesmerized by their performance. Now, I have purchased the Celtic Thunder DVD from my local B&N store and it is even better to watch it w/o interuptions for the pledge drives on PBS. I am very much looking foward to their tour date at Nassau Coliseum, My family and I have floor seats!! Also, weren't they wonderful at the St. Patricks' Day parade in Manhattan? May these men from the Emerald Isle endure continued success. They are a pleasure to watch and listen to. What a great reflection to our Irish heritage.
