Even though I'm 11, and most of my friends think I'm crazy for loving Celtic Woman, I do and this is my favorite of their two alboms and performances. These songs have more energy. Any person who wants beauty and bounce at the same time better buy this!
This is a wonderful concert, I can't praise it enough! It even tops the original “Celtic Woman” broadcast, which was also very good. For one thing, the Irish setting at Slane Castle is gorgeous, as well as the girls' many stunning costumes. The song choices are excellent, and the numbers where they sing all together are beautiful and well choreographed. However, in my opinion, the greatest improvement is the addition of Hayley Westenra. She’s quite a talented young lady who possesses a clear, pure voice and a natural presence onstage. She really fits in perfectly with the group. Her touching version of “Scarborough Fair" brought tears to my eyes. This is for anyone who enjoys good music done well!
Celtic Woman made an excellent choice when they inducted Hayley. I own the original Celtic Woman CD and I hope to recieve the Celtic Woman CD and DVD(at Slane Castle). I've been asking for it for a long time. Hopefully they will come out with many more CD's and their songs will live on. See you guys!!!
Fabulous!!! I love these singers! and the quality is great, too. I would recomend this DVD to anyone!!
I am a Celtic woman myself, and these beautiful women bring out the love and deep rooted feelings for all things Celtic in me. They are truly a gift from God to everyone. I liked the original Celtic Woman best, but maybe that is because I had never heard something so beautiful until then.
Celtic Woman A New Journey is absolutly fantastic. Their music always has me in tears.
This is one of the most exciting, visually stimulating, and audibly rewarding shows/DVD's I've ever seen! The girls are beautiful, their voices blending perfectly, and no detail of the production is overlooked. This is my very first experience with Celtic Woman and I have watched it 6 times in the last few weeks, each time finding something new to love about it. I have become a diehard fan of the group. The only "negative" comment I have is that the tempo of selections tends to slow down quite a bit towards the end, and even that is probably just a matter of personal taste. DO NOT MISS THE "BEHIND THE SCENES" SEGMENT!!!! It will give you an appreciation for the flawless performance and what it took to pull it together. I also bought the CD, but there are musical selections on the DVD that are not on the CD and should not be missed! If you have surround sound and a big screen, you will feel like you are RIGHT THERE! (minus the cold!)
This edition of Celtic Woman (A New Journey) was far better than Celtic Woman which was good in its own way. I have watched it several times. I have purchased the CD just to play in my automobile. Celtic Woman (A New Journey) was very entertaining and high energy with the perfect movement from ballads to invigorating songs. I enjoyed the featuring of the three women (Lisa, Meav, and Orla) together on several songs while at the same time incorporating the younger ladies (Chloe and Hayley) in other group songs. The individual solos by each of the young lady exhibited how talented each is in their own right. Mairead (the Fiddler) was fantastic as she exhibited high energy with an enormous amount of skill over a very wide range of songs. The setting at Slane Castle, Ireland was perfect for this show. I truly regret that I missed attending their live program in Indianapolis, Indiana. If they ever come back to the Indianapolis and/or the surrounding I will make sure that I attend their program. Overall it Celtic Woman (A New Journey) was an outstanding program and a true breath of fresh air in this day and time!
These women are so very talented! The music is mesmerizing. We watch this DVD over and over. I stand is awe of this whole production - the timing is so precise. A good variety of songs.
