Overview

With a "demon assault" having claimed the life of beautiful witch Prue Halliwell Shannen Doherty at the end of Charmed's third season, her sisters Piper Holly Marie Combs and Phoebe Alyssa Milano are left behind to mourn in their ancestral San Francisco mansion as season four begins. However, it isn't long before Prue's place is taken in the household and the series by the girls' half sister Paige Halliwell Rose McGowan, who, like the late Prue, possesses telekinetic powers. It likewise does not take long for Phoebe to contribute to the family coffers by taking a "mortal" job as a social worker, providing her with ample opportunity to activate her magical powers for the forces of good. Meanwhile, Phoebe's boyfriend, Cole Julian McMahon, having successfully purged himself of his demonic alter ego, Belthazor, decides to leave town for a while to become accustomed to his newfound benevolent mortality. Cole returns just in time to rescue Piper and Paige from a powerful demon called The Source Bennet Guillory. Though successful in this endeavor, Cole sacrifices his human form to The Source, who, in concert with manipulative female demon The Seer Debbi Morgan, bamboozles Phoebe into marrying Cole's doppelganger. Before long, Phoebe is impregnated with the baby from hell. Season four ends as the Angel of Destiny Dakin Matthews appears before the Halliwell girls, offering them a chance to vanquish The Source and its minions -- but at the cost of their own powers and their immortality. Almost as an afterthought, we also learn that Piper is pregnant with Leo's Brian Krause baby.

    I Also Recommend:

    Paige comes in!

I honestly think that adding Rose McGowen was the best thing Charmed "Producers" could have done to the series. Paige is more fun, better powers (more helpful I might add) better personality and I believe more caring than pru ever was towards her sisters, although at times she can be a little irresponsible and careless but over this season was a great one, it may have gone too fast into finding another sister but they do what they do. Great season to watch if you want to stall on Phoebe's horid hair cut lol. Over all this show was very entertaining and I recommend it to anyone who loved Buffy, TruCalling, Wonderfalls, Roswell, Supernatural and such but with a little more comedy :) great show, can't wait to afford the seventh season!

    Outsanding show!

The entire Charmed series is great, but this season contains my favorite episode, "Size Matters". In this episode Phoebe is shrunk down to about five inches tall by a demon, delightfully played by Robert Englund. For those of you who do not know who Robert Englund is, all I can say is that you probably have never seen any of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies as he played the terrifying Freddy Kruger in those films. Anyway, it turns out that the demon who Mr. Englund is playing has a hobby of shrinking women, encasing them in clay, and putting them in the kettle so he can add them to his little ceramic doll collection. Paige and Piper in turn come looking for their now little sister and get shrunk themselves. All three of them have to find a way to defeat the demon and get back to normal. Robert Englund is just as creepy in this episode as he was in the Nightmare on Elm Street films, and this episode is a treat as we get to see the tiny sisters take down Freddy Kruger (or at least the actor who played him portraying another bad guy). The rest of the season is great as well, but this is my favorite episode.

    Season 4

I thought Charmed Season 4 was the most exciting yet! Dealing with her new identity as a Charmed One, Page comes into her powers, slowly but surely. Piper starts giving Page tests to speed up the learning process since the threat of the Source hangs over their heads. Phoebe and Cole develop their relationship, get married and even conceive a child, all of which is one huge soap opera in itself! Piper and Leo are trying to have children themselves. The Cole and Phoebe love story is epic and once you get towards the last few episodes of the season you just cannot stop watching one right after the other! The Charmed Ones reorganize well after the death of Pru and just in time to face the Source of all evil!

    arguably charmed's best season

this season is great--don't get me wrong, i love prue, but ever since shannen doherty left the show and rose mcgowan came into her place as the unknown half-sister, paige halliwell, the show has been at its best. adding paige into the mix of the charmed ones not only gives the show another spark and reason to watch it, but makes it more interesting than ever before. rose mcgowan really kicks butt in this season--she's obviously a newcomer, but holds her own and does a great job...and julian mcmahon just gives all the girls yet another reason to watch the show. also provides drool-worthy material. :)

    Season four

Good season, sucky ending. Prues dead, gets replaced by a convenient half sister. Cole loses his demon half and then gets possesed by the source of all evil. Phoebe gets pregnant and the baby gets killed and cole as well. The withes belive cole turned evil willinly and spend the rest of the last half of this season and the next half of season 5 blameing everything on him and obessing.
