Overview

A teenager whose mother was critically injured just before Christmas turns to a curmudgeonly teacher for help in finding the one magical item that could save her life in this holiday fantasy for the entire family. His mother struck by a car while shopping for Christmas presents, 15-year-old Eddie (Joseph Phillips) is devastated to learn that her chances of survival are slim. His optimism is rekindled, however, when his mother comes to him in a dream and reveals that she will make a full recovery if he can find her a real halo. But when Eddie proposes the fantastical endeavor to his brother Stewart (Angus Harrison), the more practical-minded sibling dismisses it as a fool's quest. The last person Eddie ever expected to believe his incredible story is his grouchy teacher Mr. Lambert (Timothy Spall), but with no one else to turn to in his hour of need, the desperate teen throws caution to the wind and decides to ask him anyway. Meanwhile, with Christmas approaching and his mother fading fast, Eddie races to find a real-life angel and receives some help from a most unlikely ally.
