Claire of the Moon

( 2 )

Overview

Nicole Conn's tale of female sexuality, Claire of the Moon, comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The soundtrack is fine, if less that spectacular. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by the director as well as executive producer Pamela S. Kuri, trailers, a behind-the-scenes featurette, and a still photo gallery. This is a superb two-disc set from Warner Brothers.

    Excellent!

Even though the explanation of the movie tells about a heterosexual woman that meets a lesbian women, the truth is that the "heterosexual" really finds at the end that she is homosexual or in the alternative a bisexual. While she plays as she pleases, being "heterosexual", with men, when she finds herself with a woman, she can not do that play... is when she has to be honest to herself and others for the first time in her life. The movie has two situations: sometimes is slow and the other is that portraits the lesbian couples as strong-feminine stereotypes, when this is not the only reality. Recommended.

    Poor movie!

There is nothing to this movie. Waste of time. If I could, I would give this zero stars. Bad screenplay, terrible acting, poor cinematography. It does illustrate however, just how biased gay people can be towards straight people. With movies like these, the divide between the two cultures will never close.
