Long before he gave voice to the strapping patriarch of The Incredibles, Nelson proved his comic chops in this good-natured ABC testosterone-fest, eventually earning an Emmy. This two-disc set includes all 20 episodes from Season 2, for which both Nelson and Jerry Van Dyke, as assistant coach Luther Horatio Van Dam, earned Emmys, the first of many nods for the series. Developed by Newhart veteran Barry Kemp, Coach follows Fox's fumbling efforts to navigate his way through the sports world, fatherhood, and family life. Erstwhile Elvis costar Shelley Fabares enjoyed a second act here as Fox's wife, Christine; and future SpongeBob Squarepants sidekick Bill Fagerbakke he voices Patrick rose to prominence as assistant coach Michael "Dauber" Dybinski.
