Filmed on November 29, 2002, before a sold-out audience at London's Royal Albert Hall, the Concert for George honors the life and musical contributions of the "quiet Beatle," who lost his battle to cancer a year earlier. The all-star concert spotlights some of Harrison's best-known and best-loved songs, written while he was a Beatle and afterward, with contributions from musical friends including Eric Clapton, Jeff Lynne, Paul McCartney, Tom Petty, Billy Preston, Monty Python, Anoushka Shankar, Ravi Shankar, and Ringo Starr, as well as Harrison's son, Dhani Harrison. The first of the set's two discs contains the complete concert, including performances not featured in the theatrical version. The second disc houses the theatrical version, featuring concert highlights, interviews with the performers, rehearsals, and behind-the-scenes footage. The music was overseen by Clapton, who acted as music supervisor, and Lynne, who produced the concert audio in 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS. The concert was filmed in high-definition video by David Leland, co-director of HBO's Band of Brothers. Full concert track listing:- Sarve Sham
