Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Christina Urban
Steven Moffat's superb BBC ensemble comedy about six thirtysomethings and their ongoing struggles to find love hits its stride in Season 3, which features a baby's entrance and a cast member's exit Richard Coyle as Jeff. The focus remains on relationships, and sex -- well, mostly sex. Yet, clever writing allows the comedy to hover above crassness. In the episode "The Girl with One Heart," the best of the season, even lines about how the bathroom is a man's "Fortress of Solitude" deftly avoid descending into toilet humor. Susan Sarah Alexander and Steve Jack Davenport, who have reconciled in the season opener, "Split," throw a dinner party, only to have Patrick Ben Miles tell his new girlfriend that his ex Sally Kate Isitt is a lesbian, much to Jeff's typically lurid interest. In "Faithless," Jane Gina Bellman makes a shocking discovery about her celibate new beau, James, when she finds that even going topless won't change his mind; Jeff faces the challenge of accepting a date -- and something more -- from his colleague Wilma in "Unconditional Sex"; and in the season finale, "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps," Susan, who thought she couldn't have children, suddenly announces she is pregnant. Coupling fans will be eagerly awaiting Season 4.

    Excellent!!!

You have never seen a better comedy than Coupling. The actors have a chemistry that you can feel as you are watching. They are hilarious and a definate 'Must See!'

    C'mon, jump on the bandwagon!

As a loyal fan of Friends, I must say that I have found my saving grace in Coupling. It's by far a superior show because of its charm, wit and British humor. The cast is fantastic, the premise and the storylines don't recycle themselves as they do on Friends. Thankfully, BBC America is airing this show. With that said, get the DVD. It'll make you laugh a million times over.

    Buy this. Watch it. Laugh.

You will never sorry you bought this show. It will make you glad you are a human being, male or female. You will be delighted that you live in the Twenti-first Century. Watch it and laugh. Love never made clearer sense.
