Overview

Four police officers attempt to put their faith in God after a sudden and unexpected tragedy transforms their lives forever. Produced by Sherwood Pictures, the Christian production company behind such popular films as Fireproof and Facing the Giants, Courageous follows dedicated cops Adam Mitchell and Nathan Hayes as they work with their partners to keep the streets safe. But when these devoted peacekeepers face the challenge of fatherhood, both their faith and devotion to family are put to the ultimate test. In the aftermath of a devastating calamity, they are faced with a difficult choice that will ultimately come to define their lives. Fortunately, a wise mentor appears to help them understand that man's ambition and God's will aren't always in perfect harmony.

This film is an outstanding work created in a time in which we face so many challenges and unknowns. What is so incredible about this film is through the life stories of the characters involved, it made me stop and evaluate my own life and to seriously consider what is really important. It made me reconsider how I use my time and relate to those I truly love. This is a film that should be a must see for families--well worth the price!

Whatever your race, gender, faith/no faith background; it reaches in and faces you towards what is possible. Well done. A must see.

I had never heard of this movie before and accidentally found it on Showtime I think. I was just listening a bit while on the computer but ended up watching it and forgetting the computer. Coincidence I found it? I don't think so! It was uplifting and inspiring, funny and sad, the music was terrific, the actors talented, the filming professional. The story was terrific and far from corny! Not what I have come to expect from some movies. Technically I guess it is a B movie, but it was more like top of the line than I would have expected. I immediately found a copy at B&N to send to my father as a thank you for being Godly! I will also be sure my son gets to see it and hope it will inspire him to be the best father he can be to his almost 6 year old autistic son. I was not disappointed AT ALL in this film. Hope they follow up with other films with similar themes.
