Awakening to discover that the midnight train has passed and she is locked in the station, Kate (Potente) reluctantly steps onto a mysterious empty train for a ride she will not soon forget. Editorial Reviews

All Movie Guide - Jeremy Wheeler
What starts as a simple scare fest in England's subway leads into a delicious, grisly twist on the Frankenstein monster for the cheap seat genre-loving crowd in Creep. This pared-down shocker might be light on plot, but it's packed with creepy frights and psychopathic attitude from its mean main monster. It should be no secret that this is a mutant-gone-mad flick; in fact, the film lavishly gushes over its ugly bad boy for more than half the picture. The effect is satisfying as long as you come in for little else and are prepared for a delicious journey into the macabre that weaves its ludicrous tale with nary a nod or a wink. With Franka Potente eating up her scream queen duties all filmed exceptionally by cinematographer Danny Cohen, Creep is a fine example of the U.K.'s fine horror output at the time and serves as a similar, darkly lit lead into Great Britain's cult sensation The Descent the following year.
