Editorial Reviews

Entertainment Weekly
Dahmer does something quietly riveting. It lets you brush up against the humanity of a psycho, without making him any less psycho.... Jeremy Renner, the young actor who plays him, gives a spectacular performance. Owen Gleiberman
Hollywood Reporter
Ambitious, unsettling psychodrama that takes full, chilling advantage of its rough-around-the-edges, low-budget constraints. Michael Rechtshaffen

I think this movie was very well done it was a bit hazy on what went on with his arrests and his record. But the way the movie was laid out I felt sorry for ''Jeffrey Dahmer''. I think this young new actor did a wounderful job at portraying one of the many known serial killers in this century.

This movie was very well done. Jeremy Renner did an outstanding job playing the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. This movie had a minimum of gore (there wasn't much really), which I was happy about. I was kind of afraid to watch this movie, incase it would make me sick, and it didn't! This movie showed Jeffrey Dahmer having flashbacks so you could kind of get an idea of his past life, before he really started the murdering of people. I didn't know all that much about the real Jeffrey Dahmer, but this movie let me know what I wanted to know, and I don't think I'll ever need to try to find out anything else. This movie was again very wonderfully done, and Jeremy Renner is going to be a big big star, this guy was definately born to act, he's truly a gifted actor (and there aren't many out there right now). It was good, he was even better than I could have hoped. You should see this movie, it's a good one for what it's based on. It also kind of made me feel sorry for Jeffrey Dahmer in a way, but nevertheless he was a cold blooded killer, and one can feel sorry for the way he lived and what he went through, but he was not a great man, and I feel sorry for the loved ones of the boys he murdered, but again it's a good good movie.

Although we have little sympathy for serial killers, Jeremy Renner did for Jeffery Dahmer what Charlize Theron did for Aileen Wuornos...made you feel some sort of empathy. This film turned out to not be what I was expecting, which was a horror film. Instead, it was full of emotion and inner conflict, portrayed brilliantly by Renner. It was more about his connection, or lack thereof, with his victims rather than the crimes he commited. Sure, there were some unsettling things about the film. He was, after all, a serial killer. But, I found myself intrigued by David Jacobson's unique storytelling of such a grousome subject, but more so by Renner's portrayal.

this is one of Jeremy Renner's most pivitol roles in my opinion and poeple should defenitly see this!
