    A Refreshing Take On Children's Music!

    My parents and I had the pleasure of seeing Dan Zanes perform his rock music years ago at a pub in Boston. We became instant fans and have followed his career since. We were surprised when he started coming out with children's music, but we shouldn't have been. This guy has talent oozing out of every pour and the genre of children's music was seriously lacking. With Dan Zanes and Friends, All Around The Kitchen, he (and his talented friends!) have put together a collection of performances and music videos that are both musically and visually stimulating for children AND their parents. I now have a two year old daughter of my own and my father just bought her this CD for Christmas. I thought it might still be over her head since she hasn't started talking yet, but boy was I wrong. It is the DVD she requests to watch the most often. She does her best to sing along and even acts out some of the moves! She claps and says "Yay!" after every song. It is such a pleasure to be able watch and enjoy something together. I highly recommend this DVD to anyone with children, or for that matter I recommend any of his work to anyone!
