    Not worth the money

If you are just starting out and wanting to learn a few steps and get a great, fun workout, this DVD is NOT the one for you. She goes so fast and doesn't do well in giving you instructions. There is a one on one part of the DVD where she goes over a few "basic" steps. The shots are in and out so, when you're trying to follow her, you get lost b/c they cut into her face or her flipping her hair that you lose your steps. I have taken dance lessons before so, some of the steps I knew but even then, I found it to be very hard to follow and not much of a work out.

    Great Workout--Not Easy

I'm a complete novice at anything dance/choreography related and I didn't find this video easy, BUT it is effective. If you can get over the fact that you can't quite get the moves correct right away or quickly enough, this will be a great video for you. I suggest you watch the workout thru at least once (twice is probably preferable, but if only once make sure to attempt some of it when you finish) because though Julianne does explain the moves well (usually), she only does so once and then speaks in shorthand and if you have no experience and she says "cross and jump" during the paso you won't have a clue what that means. Furthermore, the cameraman is obsessed with Julianne and, unlike most workout videos where all of the participants are shown about 80-90% of the time, the camera is usually zoomed in on one of her body parts and the other participants are absent. While Julianne is the instructor and professional, she is not just a dancer but a performer and thus she moves with more fluidity and pizzazz than the other two women in the video and I often found myself wondering what I was doing wrong watching Julianne and only when I caught one of the few glimpses of one of the others did I feel like I wasn't clumsy and incompetent. Overall, this video will give you a great workout and if you're a complete novice to picking up choreography and ballroom dance, like me, give it a couple watch-thru's and another 4-5 times just clumsily going thru it and you'll finally start having fun. If you've got any experience I'm sure this is probably cake to pick up, but I imagine you'll still finish drenched in sweat.

    An amazing workout!

I have some others dance videos, but I never do them. This one is different. Julianne is adorable and cute, once you start it is impossible to turn off. She is a great teacher and the energy of the video is contagious!!
I would highly recommend this video if you already know how to dance or is a fast learner. It is a little difficult for beginners, but it is not impossible to do it if it is your first contact with dance, you just have to want it and let it lose!
It is a fun, fast, sexy video.
One thing for sure, it is a killer workout!!!
    I truly loved!

    Need dance skills

I love this work out. It really gets your heart pumping and when it's over you feel like you've been to the gym. But I have danced for over 15 years and that helped a lot. There is a section where she breaks down the moves so that might help, but if you don't have any dance experience I wouldn't recommend it. If you have dance experience and are missing classes as I was, I would tell you to buy and enjoy!!

    Not for me

The dancercises move fast and require some prior dance experience, at least more than I have. Too difficult for my age and ability, but would probably be more fun for the younger set.

    Absolutely great!

I cannot say enough about this cardio workout dvd! Julianne Hough breaks down each step and then introduces each consecutive step so that you can follow along as she picks up the pace. For me, thare are one or two steps per dance (there are three dances) that are a bit tricky, but I am doing better with them each time. For the most part, the steps are easy and a lot of fun. By the end of my first viewing/participation, I realized that the steps/routines are really very easy.
Julianne is a professional dancer and can get a bit fast paced, but she breaks everything done so well and builds on them step-by-step, that I not only feel that I am able to keep up; I also feel that I have accomplished so much by the end.
I hope that she continues to produce dvd's like this one that will allow nonprofessional dancers the opportunity to experience dance steps that look so difficult when professionals do them, and that provides just a great cardio workout!
