    A failed attempt

Grim contemporary drama set in unspecified rural town in the USA (later identified in end credits). Main characters are high school aged young men and young women and the over-all atmosphere is bleak, depressing. A relationship blossoms between one young man and one young woman but ends tragically. It would be interesting to find interviews with the writer-director.
