    A reviewer

This to me is definitely the best version of Dark Shadows. I mean don't get me wrong the original series is a classic and will always be awesome because it set the tone for future interpretations. This though just takes the story even further. It is definitely darker in tone than the original and there is also much more of a romantic love story between the two main characters than in the previous incarnation. Joanna Going was absolutley perfect for Victoria Winters. For that period of time you could not have found anyone more suited for the role than her. Ben Cross as Barnabas Collins, that was inspired casting. His is the best version of the character. He was able to make the character more 3-dimensional than before. If you are a fan of Dark Shadows, pick this up and watch it ASAP.

    excellent series

This is an excellent revival of Dark Shadows. It attests to the orginal TV series. It does not disappoint. I watched the orginal soap from the beginning to the end, and own the complete collection. This revival is a good purchase.

I watched this when it was on TV!

This is a great series. It has a little bit of a B rated horror feel to it, but didnt the original tv series?? I love this collection and find it way more exciting and modern than the original, not to mention easier to watch! Id recomend it to anyone who enjoys Vampire love stories.

Most Dramatic TV Series Ever Written!

I grew up watching Dark Shadows on tv. I remember how much I had a crush on the actor who played Barnabas. I also liked the werewolf. It scared me to death as a child but the more it scared me the more I wanted to watch it! All thrill seeking lovers should watch this series!

Worse than Night of Dark Shadows, even!

Not only is this the worst Dark Shadows ever made, but one of the worst things ever put on TV or released on video. Ben Cross as Barnabas is just terrible. The plot is terrible not to mention very very complicated and the whole thing is just plain dumb! DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME!
