    Deep Purple 1993

Fantastic DVD performance for anyone not familiar with the power of the original Deep Purple line-up, particularly Ritchie Blackmore. Despite Blackmore's temper tantrum in the beginning of the show, The Man in Black is at his finest; head down and intent on producing the powerful riffs and solo work for which he is so well known. Ian Gillan's voice is in great form and the remainder of the band, Paice, Lord and Glover make for a very tight performance, in spite of the obvious tension between Blackmore and rest of the band. The short interviews with the band members (with the exception of Blackmore) scattered throughout the first half of the concert are interesting but detract a bit from the flow of the performance.

    R. Blackmore should be ashamed!!!!

Not seeing Deep Purple live in over 25 years, it was truly a thrill watching the original band members on DVD, (Surround Sound). But Richie Blackmore slapped me in my face with his attitude problem. But dispite that, the show was awsome!!!
