Begginers... do not let this video be your first impression of pilates. I have been taking pilates classes for over a year now and hoped to continue at home using a video. Denise doesn't emphasise the most vital parts of pilates such as breathing technique and core control. Her voice is extremely irritating as well.

I love this workout. It challenges me and although I have never done Pilates before, I enjoy the level I am able to work at and LOVE to see that over time I am able to perform every move she does! Not easy, but work out at your level and push yourself to increase your participation the more you do it.

I am a beginner in Pilates and according to the reviews posted earlier on - it stated that this DVD was for ALL levels. It certainly is NOT. I was very dissapointed in the way she just pops from one movement to the next without explaining the details of each move. To me, it's very dangerous if you don't know how to move each part of your body for Pilates for each pose and she DEFINATELY does not do this. Overall, I've always loved Denise Austin's energy, that's why I give it 2 stars - for her energy BUT definately not for the workout.

This workout is great! I love it! It has a little of everything and it's really easy to follow. This really works your hole body and it's really relaxing! Denise does a great job with this one!

I like Denise Austin, but was very disappointed in this dvd. It is clearly geared toward intermediate and advanced level pilates. It isn't very motivating when you can not preform the exercises she demonstrates(without additional instruction).

I have been workingout to many of Denise's dvd's. Love them and keep you coming back. Many levels of work outs in one so you dont have to own them all. I work out to her 4-5 days a week.

I love this DVD. It is achievable, challenging and you feel so unbeliebably good after doing it. Denise is such a motivational instructor and if you are feeling a bit down, do this video to make yourself feel fantastic and special. Thanks again Denise.

I purchase the tape over the weekend and have done it twice. Denise encourages you through the entire workout. I admit after the first workout I was sore, but I'm feeling better and better everyday.

I can not even begin to express how wonderful this workout is! I have owned this for about 5 years and I never tire of it. I have never gotten results like this from any other workout! Not only does it tone & lift places that I didnt know could be toned or lifted but it also makes my muscles feel like they were just massaged! I love the stretching that this video provides. You can really feel all the moves working deep in the muscle. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.

I've never tried pilates before so I decided to pick up Denise Austin's dvd as a first try. Either it was too hard or seemed not to work for a beginner or her voice and perkiness irritated me too much. Some of the exercises did seem to work but others did not seem to do much at all, and I've tried it several times already. Now I'm on the look out for better pilates dvds.

I love this workout. Denise smiles and speaks calmly, encouraging you and saying ''Doesn't that feel great?'' thoroughout the video. The exercises are challenging, but not impossible and become easier with practice. I feel great afterward, not over-exerted or sore. I definately recommend this to anyone trying to lose a little weight or tone up.

This is a demanding exercise program, and not for the faint of heart! If you are willing to modify the exercises yourself to meet your needs it works great! If you are extremely overweight, years out of shape, and looking to start a program - DO NOT BUY THIS CD! Ms. Austin is her perky, charming self but even her encouraging words will not help you perform even the basic work. Be sure and buy a flat resistence band - the round ones with handles can roll off the bottom of your feet and smack you across the face - trust me, it was more embarrasing than painful!...Goodluck!

I am a beginner to pilates. This video is energizing throughtout, upbeat and keeps you in the groove. The added bonus, Denise uses a stretch band which give you a better workout. The moves were easy to follow.

I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING. THANKS DENISE, I REALLY BELIEVE THIS IS IT. IT GIVES YOU A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING, WITHOUT KILLING YOU IN THE PROCESS. AS MANY GYMS AND EXERCISE CLASSES AS I HAVE TRIED IN THE PAST FEW YEARS, I HAD COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE CLASS I AM LOOKING FOR DOES NOT EXIST.I WOULD EXPERIENCE BURN OUT DUE TO BEING TOO TIRED AFTER WORK OR TOO TIRED AFTER MY EXERCISE CLASS. YOUR WORK OUT IS PERFECT FOR ME. THANKS AGAIN FOR 'PILATES FOR EVERYBODY'!!!:)

This is the second Pilates video I did and I did not enjoy it as much as the first one. Denise Austin talks too much and bounces around an awful lot. I was so tired and sore after this workout, not refreshed and rejuvinated.

I have MS and this video keeps me in shape even though I am challenged with a physical disability. I love this tape. I can go at my own pace and still get a good workout.

I don't consider myself an exercise fanatic but I do exercise regularly, at least 3 to 4 times a week. I love yoga and gym workouts. Normally I work out at a gym and to be frank, I'm not a great fan of home video workouts. I had tried a few but I find them dull and sometimes it looks and sound complicated! I have been hearing a lot of this Pilates technique and by accident I saw a Denise Austin pilates workout video. Frankly, I thought I was wasting my time and money. Suffice to say I didn't regret buying it because I really enjoy exercising along with it!! The instruction is clear and short and the workout is easy to follow but EFFECTIVE! I have to admit that I have not been doing the workout as regularly as advised but certain difficult to shift 'fats' around my abs, hips and thighs have been reduced! It encourage me enough to get another of Denise video... this time her video on yoga. What I like about her video is not only the workouts per se but also her personality and physique. Her instructions are clear and simple, and her body looks strong and fit. She gives us normal women hope that our bodies through workouts could be like hers. Personally I hate doing workouts with instructors who have those what I would call superslim sort of unachievable bodies. No, I'm not being catty or envious I'm being realistic.. how many of us have those super model bodies?

I bought this video a few weeks ago because I had been hearing so much about the pilates craze. I decided to see for myself. I fell in love with it. I have physical problems that dont allow me to do many of the workouts on the market. I have severe knee problems and this video is great becase it is so low impact yet such a great workout. When you first sit and watch the whole thing it doesnt look like a very good workout. But I promise a major sweat by the time you are done with it. And you dont run out of breathe so you usually tend to make it from start to finish right away. And unlike many other videos its simple to keep up with. Check it out im sure you will love it.

I absolutely love this video and that is saying alot for me, considering I have never worked out at home using an exercise tape. After doing the routine once or twice, you get hooked and even look forward to doing the workout (there are not many workouts that I can actually say that about!) I would say that there is something it in for everyone - if you like dance moves, if you want to do some serious ab work, if you want to tone your legs, chest, arms and butt, if you want resistance training or if you want to be more flexible and limber - the video offers it all. It is a challenging workout that you will achieve your target heart rate but at the same time it incorporates some meditation and relaxation exercises that allow you to de-stress. It is really gives you the best of both worlds. I personally am pleasantly surprised because I thought I would hate working out at home to an exercise tape but I decided to start doing Pilates as cross-training to running for more flexibililty, stretching, and ab training. The 45 minute workout is so motivating and energizing that you will not even notice the time and before you know it, you've completed your workout for the day! I highly recommend this video for anyone who is bored of their current workout or beginners that want to start working out for the first time. It targets varied fitness goals so that everyone gets something different out of it.

I have found that other exercise videos tend to be long-winded and dull since the host explains everything and the transitions are long. After working out with the same video a few weeks, we get to know the moves, so there's no reason for long transitions and dull explanations. This video was great. Denise kept it short and quick, moving to different moves before I got bored with each one. She speaks a lot in her calming, relaxing voice. I dreaded working out for 45 min, but it was over so fast - because she kept me moving and kept the workout flowing. For anyone who is a serious fitness person and dance-oriented, this is a great video. The band in the beginning is really tight, so don't struggle and hurt yourself (common sense). Otherwise, I really enjoyed it...and I seldom enjoy fitness workouts because they're chatty and waste a lot of time.

LET ME START OUT BY SAYING THIS IS A GREAT VIDEO. SOMETHING I CAN ACTUALLY DO AND KEEP UP WITH THE SECOND TIME DOING IT.AND I DEFINATLY BELIEVE ITS GOING TO WORK. I CAN FEEL IT IN THE BACKS OF MY LEGS,ARMS,AND STOMACH.I HAD SO MUCH ENERGY AFTER WORKING WITH THIS VIDEO THE OTHER NIGHT THAT I JUMPED ON MY BIKE AND WENT 6 MILES. THAT WAS AFTER A FULL DAY OF RUNNING A DAYCARE OUT OF MY HOME.
