This release is NOT Pan & Scan. There was never a pan & scan release created. This description is inaccurate on B&N's part. I'm trying to sit here thinking of any recent releases of ANYTHING that have been done in pan & scan. Since TVs have been released in widescreen, people are no longer making inaccurate assumptions about the fact that the black boxes on the top and bottom of the screen are cutting off part of the movie or annoying. I digress... as a movie purist, this argument used to drive me insane. Regardless, B&N needs to fix this description because it is NOT Pan & Scan. BTW, the only reason I give this 4 stars is because I haven't been a fan of the half season releases. They end up missing some of the special features that are included only on the complete sets. I suppose if you aren't into bonus material and want a more cost-efficient release, this one IS for you. Otherwise, wait until the full season is released later this year.

Why does the presentation format say "Pan and Scan"? I have all of the previous Doctor Who boxes, and thank God they are not pan and scan.
