    More enjoyment with Doctor Who

    To own this DVD collection is a must to get the most enjoyment of Doctor Who for no other reason than to turn on the subtitles and really understand the witty banter that Matt Smith delivers with such comic timing. I wish there was more commentary.

    Matt Smith all wrong for The Doctor

    When the Doctor regenerated, I thought that Matt Smith looked truly odd. he even said his face would change because he was still regenerating. It didn't. Of course it's not only his face and physical acting that bother me. He just clowns around and is nowhere near the character of Doctor Who. I've watched every single Doctor since the 1970's with Tom Baker. Yep, some weren't great and we had to adjust to another actor. But I've watched all the episodes with Matt Smith and he just doesn't fit. Hope his stint is short. Unfortunately the wonderful Christopher Eccleston left too early. I do like his companion though. She's the only person who lifts this otherwise dull series up. Oh yeah....they need better storylines too.

    Bootleg

    The DVDs shipped promptly and they work fine but I'm almost certain these are bootleg DVDs. The menus don't look right and the episodes have BBC voice-over over the credits explaining what is on the channel next. All the episodes are there but none of the special features. The packaging also does not match the picture provided.
