Don Giovanni (Komische Oper)
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's haunting, disturbing opera about the ill fate of one of fiction's most shameless womanizers receives a unique interpretation in this production from the Komische Oper. Originally performed and filmed in December 1966, and aired on German television, it was directed for the stage by Walter Felsenstein and directed for television by Georg Mielke. György Melis essays the title role, alongside Klara Barlow as Donna Anna , John Moulson as Don Ottavio and Anny Schlemm as Donna Elvira. The Chorus of the Komische Oper Berlin and The Orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin lend added musical accompaniment.
