When Ashtray Shawn Wayans moves to South Central L.A. to live with his father who appears to be the same age he is and grandmother who likes to talk tough and smoke reefer, he falls in with his gang-banging cousin Loc Dog Marlon Wayans, who along with the requisite pistols and Uzi carries a thermo-nuclear warhead for self-defense. Will Ashtray keep living the straight life or will he join up with Loc Dog's gangsta homeboys? And is his romance with self-styled poet Dashiki Tracey Cherelle Jones going to go anywhere? Big brother Keenen has a small role as a mailman.

A film with a social message...

...to do nothing but get drunk in the hood while spoofing the urban dramas of Boyz N Tha Hood and Menace 2 Society with the spice only the Wayan brothers could add. Great making fun of the LAPD, Louis Farakhan, and over-the-top gangsta movies all in the same flick. Nothing better.

    funniest spoof ever

This is one of the funniest movie i have ever seen. It is my all time favorite movie. I think the waynes brothers know exactly how to make a serious scene in one movie the funniest scene in another movie. I would reccomend this movie to anyone over the age of 13. If i were i would get off the computer right now and go rent or buy dont be a menace to south central while drinking your juice in the hood. It is well worth your money and time.

    Awesome

I love this movie. Any movie with the Wayne's brothers that spoofs movies is classic. It makes fun of all those ridiculous 'in da hood' movies.
