Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Donald Liebenson
This collection of two episodes of Nick Jr.'s Emmy-nominated preschool series is a real find! In the first episode, wherein Dora's precious Teddy Bear is lost, Map points Dora toward "The Lost City." There she will find all the toys and treasures that everyone has ever lost. Like a combination of Dorothy and Indiana Jones, Dora follows the rolling blue road and successfully uses her problem-solving skills to navigate the math and sequencing challenges presented by the Number Pyramid and the Mixed-Up Jungle. In the second episode, Map again shows the way to help Dora find Boots's "Lost Squeaky." Repetition of objectives and directions help to keep young viewers focused on completing each task in their journey to Gooey Geyser. These learning adventures are animated by Dora's enthusiasm and encouragement. Kids will follow her anywhere...even Muddy Mountain.
