    I Also Recommend:

    hilariously inappropriate

Season 1 of Eastbound and Down is infused with raunchy comedy and is full of laughs. Kenny Powers is in love with himself and returns to a home town that is anything but in love with him - give or take a few characters. The fallen star has moments that are pleasantly endearing, but don't let the sap catch you off guard. Those moments abruptly culminate in a string of curse words, a sexual advance or some other dirty mood ruiner. Kenny Powers tries to claw his way back to the top of the baseball pitching scene through attempts at steroids, eliminating the high competition and creating a highlights reel showing everything but him throwing a baseball. All this while he is teaching at his old high school, living in with his brother's family and trying to win back his old girlfriend. Sometimes the laughs are cheap, but the show is hilariously inappropriate.
