Operaman More than 1 year ago
a riveting study in insanity and vengeance; musically and dramatically intense. I don't know why they decided to put all the women in tightly wrapped turbans, maybe if they loosened the turbans, they'd be less crazy? Eva Marton is superlatiue in the title role. This opera is not for a light evening of entertainment; it is a challenge; but worth it.
