    A Great Documentary

This is a very good documentary about Elvis. It shows him onstage doing what he does best but also backstage. You get a glimpse of Elvis the man and not just his image. A must for all Elvis fans.

    ENTERTAINING AND YET SAD

I am a big fan of EP yet I am also critical. There are some bright spots in the film such as his renditions of ''Bridge Over Troubled Water'' and ''Burnin' Love.'' However, he seems to be burnt-out on many of the numbers (this man toured constantly from 1969 until his death). It is worth watching simply to see that the seeds of this grealty talented man's downfall were already planted. Several times he appears white as a sheet and sickly- presumably from drug use. Also there is an interview with an annoying/screaming fan who probably never left her house after this was realeased due to embarrasement. Not his best, but it is candid. Not for the die-hard fans, because it isn't always pretty. Not for the haters, because it might give you more amunition. This is only for the honest critics who know this man was one of the greatest singers/entertainers that lived, but also know that he had his negative elements in his personal life that did affect his talents.

Elvis Presley stars as himself in Elvis on Tour.

This is Elvis Presley's 2nd docummentary playing himself, and his last movie (or not if you don't count the docummentaries). When the movie begins, we hear Elvis Presley speaking and we see a young Elvis Presley at about 2 or 3, with his parents, Vernon & Gladys Presley. Elvis is seen mostly in the movie on his 15 city tour. He has a comdein enternating his fans, until he hits the stage and sings ''C.C Rider'' and we aslo see Elvis Presley on the Ed Sullivan show. Is this movie worth an Elvis Presley concert ticket? I don't know.
