    Another Good Emma!

I own and have watched all three versions of Emma, and this one is very good. My favorite of all is the A&E version with Kate Beckinsale, but this one is just as good which is why I still give 5 stars. The only thing I didn't like was that Mr. Knightley was much older than he was supposed to be, but his acting was flawless. All the characters were not only properly protrayed from the novel, but came alive on screen. This version of Emma is very accurate and enjoyable. It also explains everything well enough for those who haven't read the book which all adaptations should do. Doran Godwin performs excellently. This is also one of the best from the old BBC collection. Definately recommend.

    One for your collection!

This older BBC version of JaneAusten's story is the best. Theacting is perfect, the interpretationto screen is excellent, and greatattention to detail is given. The1800's come alive, at a believableslower-paced time. Who would you beif you could step into that era andthe story? Highly recommended.

Emma Godwin Is A Superb Emma Woodhouse!

This is the 1972 British made BBC production of Emma and in my opinion it is just as great as the two versions from the 1990's that starred Gwynwth Paltrow and Kate Beckinsale. Emma Godwin is superb and absolutely delightful as Emma Woodhouse and the rest of the cast is great too even though the actor playing Knightley looks much older than the character is supposed to be and Harriet Smith is made into an airhead bimbo with an annoying non-stop giggle but despite that I still think it's a great movie and Doran Godwin is a superb Emma.
