Erin Brockovich is a movie that teaches a good lesson: Do not underestimate a women who has kids and is single. PG&E is a chemical company who has been dumping hexavalent chromium into the soil. The hexavalent chromium goes through the soil and into the ground water. Once in the ground water, it goes up the well and into the houses of innocent people. Once people are exposed to the hexavelent chromium, they get very sick. This chemical causes many cancers. PG&E says that the chemical is good for you but in reality, it gave many people different types of cancer. Erin ends up sueing this company and goes through a lot of suffering. Her love life suffers and she almost loses her job. If she loses her job, she will not have money to support her children. Does she win the case or does she loses? Watch the movie to find out. Overall, I give this movie five stars.

You Go Girl!

In the beginning, Erin seems to be going from hard luck to no luck. Loosing her own court case ends up being a blessing in disguise, as she creates a job for herself at the law firm of the lawyer that she hired. In her first big assignment, she goes overboard. She doesn't stop at ''I don't know'' or ''mind your own business.'' She keeps on digging until she has answers. With very little education, her common-sense takes over and has her asking the obvious questions that no one else thought to ask. Why are people getting sick? Why would PG&E pay for someone's doctor visits? Why would they tell someone a harmful substance is good for them? How did the soil get contaminated? This movie also shows what the dedicated working woman must go through on a daily basis, putting job before children, hoping that in time they will understand that you are doing the right thing, though painful for all at the moment. Finally, Erin proves that with persistance, and letting your sense of right/wrong being your guide, you can be the David that confronts Goliath. P.S. This movie gives everyone a refresher course on biochemistry, brush off your periodic table...anyone know what hexavalent chromium is?

This is what I call a great movie the whole family should see!!!

Erin Brockovich for real. She says what she wants and fights for what she wants. In the movie, Erin curses her way through a legal dispute concerning the town's water supply. Finding all the evidence, Erin, along with the real lawyer in this case, sue PG & E for failure to comply with simple procedures like making sure water contaminated with hexavalent chromium doesn't leak into a nearby town's ground water. You will like Erin's choice of words, actions, and outcomes when you see this movie. This is Julia Robert's best!!

Great video that teaches Great lessons....

Okay, language issues aside, Julia Roberts SHINES as the real-life Erin Brockovich, a dogged, unabashed crusader for justice. Erin accidentally finds out that several hundred unsuspecting residents of Hinkley, California are dead or dying from poisoned water that has exceedingly high levels of toxic chromium. This is a touching story that reminds me a lot of Sally Field's performance in Norma Rae. It's about a grass-roots effort to right a very terrible wrong, and the investigative techniques used by Erin will floor you with their sheer simplicity. It's not what she does, rather it's HOW she does what she does that makes a difference. Erin is not equipped professionally to take on this insurmountable task, but she refuses to let that stop her from trying. She's what I would call ''ignorance on fire'', but she's also smart as a whip. What I love most about this movie is how Roberts character gets results when others can't. She may not be the most professional (this movie is cleavage city!), or meekest person you'll ever meet (her boss says she could use a good dose of ''charm school'' - he's right!) but she has a way with people. True, her wardrobe doesn't hurt in her getting her way so often (especially with men), but it's her honest compassion for these victims that makes the movie work. Erin Brockovich teaches all of us a lesson in true leadership, persistence against all odds, and how to motivate people. These victims TRUST her because they know she really CARES, That's the real lesson here, and that's why she is so successful in getting them to do something they would never have done without her. This movie is a real gem. You will learn a lot about purpose, passion, corruption, romance, and how to deal with people so that they respond. And you'll also learn that door-to-door selling is NOT antiquated! Highly recommended. Cris

Companies are people all right. And some people are downright E

Companies are people all right. And some people are downright Evil. I
think Evil and Luck are both obsolete terms derived from ancient
religion, but this movie really shows us Evil. The PG&E lobby has
since made havoc, and maybe some day that story will become a relevant
sequel, I hope. Bad guys rise from the dead, like Carrie.

A movie made to inspire

When you think of Erin Brockavich three words come to mind, Empowering , moving and inspiring. This tale is based on real life events that circle around a woman (played by Julia Roberts)who has triumphed over an overwhelming amount of doubt. In the movie, Erin is a single mother of three she has no job and she has lost all hope while still trying to give her childern a better life. She is faced with and she finally gets the break that she needs in a law firm working for her lawyer because he promised to find her a job. When Erin finally convinced her boss Ed(played by Albert Finney) to let her investigate a case she finds out some disturbing things. One is that PG&E(a water company)are poisoning people and covering it up . She also finds out that if you don't let your boss know that just because you're not in the office doesn't mean that you are not working, then you will get fired. Using her strong attitude, witts and natural assets Erin finally gets the break that she need. She finds out some sites where PG&E test at and gets some samples. She gets the people affected cto be witnesses in court. This is a story makes people especially females know that just because the odds are agianst you that doesn't mean that you can not come out on top. This is one of the best movies of our time and it deserves the proper recognition.:)

A Woman's will to Succeed

Julia Roberts plays an outsatanding role in this movie. In the movie Erin Brockovich, Roberts is a single mother with three young children, trying to make it in the world. When she starts to work for a small law firm, she discovers that there is a little secret that Pacific Gas & Electric is holding out on. Through lawsiuts and a rollercoaster ride of a life that she has she still manages to make a difference in her life and of those around her.

This movie was outstanding! I love how this movie is so inspiring. It really motivates you to get what you have set out to do. Erin Brockovich proves to society that she can achieve her goals. Just when she thought the whole world was turning on her, Erin did not think once about letting it get to her. When she goes after something she doesn¿t stop until she has succeeded. This movie is based on a true story.She convinces her lawyer to give her a job at the firm as a secretary. Later, she stumbles across a lawsuit against an electric company that was spilling toxic wastes. This causes her to dig further into the lawsuit and find out the truth. As she tries to save a small town from dying of different kinds of cancer, that was caused by there water. Erin runs into many bumps in the road that she must overcome in order to win the lawsuit against the electric company.Watch Erin Brockovich and see what happens in the end!

Erin Brockovich a penny worth spending!!!

This film is about a woman named Erin, who has three kids and is single seeking a job to support her family . The film begins with Erin in litigation, over a traffic accident, where she was the victim. She looses the case. W hile searching for a job to pay her bills and feed her kids she convinces her attorney to hire her. She starts in her lawyer's office doing paper work. It was a pretty big hassle for her to get the job at first, but she got it. While at the the job she comes across a real estate case that was filed and put away for good that was never really finalized . Erin decides to open the case back up after investigating the reason why medical reports were in a real estate file. Her curiousity leads to a crusade to give justice to the people being hurt by illness es caused by PG&E, the company who produced the pollution that caused it. Julia Roberts is brilliant in this movie she really makes you want to keep watching. What will happen with this and Erin as her life is now you'll never know...... unless you watch the end of the movie for yourself!

The most spiritual movie yet!

This was definetly an amazing movie. I highly recommend this movie to all the women out there that think they have come to a dead end in life. This movie goes to show that even when you think you have hit rock bottom, there is no matter what still a way to get out of it. You find that you don't just get out of it by making a wish, but that you have to really work for it to get what you want. Erin Brockovich soon comes to realize this, when she finds herself tangled up in her own problems. However, that wouldn't stop her even if you tried. Erin had a strong mind, and a strong heart. Which got her through it all the way.

Julia Roberts is a good actor

Erin Brockovich was a great movie and I like the way she helps people and herself.

At the start of the film, the down-on-her-luck Erin Brockovich (Roberts) finds herself in dire financial straits after getting into a car accident. Despite the accident being the other driver's fault, her lawyer Ed Masry . fails to win her a settlement during the trial. With bills to pay and three children to feed, Erin puts herself at the mercy of her lawyer, and begs him for a job. Fortunately, Ed relents and Erin begins work at the law firm as a filing clerk. After working a few weeks at the firm, Erin comes across a real estate file containing medical records. With her curiosity piqued, Erin convinces Ed to allow her to investigate the connection, and she treks out to the desert town of Hinkley. There she meets Donna Jensen, a woman whose entire family has been stricken with serious medical problems. As Erin digs deeper into the medical histories of Donna and other residents of the town, she inadvertently discovers a corporate cover-up involving deaths linked to chromium-contaminated drinking water in the small town. Incensed by what she has found, Erin begins a crusade to make Pacific Gas & Electric accountable for the illness and death that they have caused. Driven by her own persistence and desire to seek justice for the townspeople, Erin goes door to door to sign up plaintiffs for a direct-action lawsuit against PG&E. However, not everyone shares Erin's enthusiasm to see justice done-- with PG&E being the largest employer in the area, Erin finds a number of townspeople leery of rocking the boat. Furthermore, there is some internal grumbling at the law firm, as a number of Erin's co-workers resent her outspoken personality and questionable style of dress. Finally, as a single mother, Erin finds it increasingly difficult to balance the demands of her work and her family-- the more time she spends on the road crusading, the more estranged she becomes from her children.

Erin Brockovich is based on a true story about a single mother of three that help her lawyer win a big lawsuite aginst PG&E. After losing her own law suite she ask her lawyer for a job he hire her after she had plead him as his clerk. she runings into so information that she think should be review more, her boss gives her permission to continue her research. After find out more information about the lawsuite she finds out that all of the client that are related to the lawsuite are all sick and have been hospitalized many time in the hospital. she continue her research by going to every of her clients house and get information on the reason they are so sick. she finds out the company have been allowing the water that are contamiate to be use by the family, they told the family to go to the doctor where they were told that they are in good condition and that actual the water was good for them. Erin and her boss Eddie going on with there reach until they were able to get it to a pretrial, which they won. after winning their pretrail they were able to get everyone involve in the lawsuite to come to court and testified. once the the judge heard everyone story he was able to determine that every since client of Eddie and Erin deserver every single penny they had. After win the lawsuite they were able to move into a big office, where they help other clients win other lawsite against PG&E.
