Overview

Two noteworthy dramas are brought together in this twin-pack DVD release. Both Erin Brockovich and Primary Colors have been given letterboxed transfers to disc in their respective original widescreen aspect ratios, which have been enhanced for anamorphic playback on 16 x 9 monitors: Erin Brockovich at the 1.85:1 ratio and Primary Colors at 2.35:1. Both films offer viewers a choice of the film's original English soundtrack and a dubbed version in French, with all tracks in Dolby Digital 5.1, except for the French track on Erin Brockovich, which is presented in Dolby Digital Surround. Both films are closed captioned in English, while Primary Colors also offers optional Spanish subtitles. The Erin Brockovich disc offers a variety of bonus materials, including a short documentary on the making of the film, a selection of deleted scenes, a short feature on the real-life Erin Brockovich, production notes, biographies of the cast and crew, the film's theatrical trailer, and additional material which can be accessed on computers with DVD-ROM drives. The more modest Primary Colors DVD is bolstered with cast and crew biographies, notes on the production, and a trailer for the movie.
