Barnes & Noble - Christina Urban
U.S. Marshal Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) is traveling through the Pacific Northwest with his delinquent daughter, Zoe (Jordan Hinson), in tow when all of a sudden he is distracted by a car coming in the opposite direction -- driven by him. Startled at the sight, Jack runs his car into a ditch and gets stuck. Searching for help, he stumbles upon the bizarre town of Eureka. Jack gradually discovers that the town, created by President Truman after World War II, is a secret enclave filled with scientists, inventors, and slightly cracked geniuses charged with creating new technologies for the government. But the work of America's brightest scientists can lead to both brilliant innovations and total chaos, as Jack soon finds out. Sworn to secrecy, Jack eventually befriends the locals and becomes the new sheriff in town. Costarring Joe Morton as Henry Deacon, Debrah Farentino as Beverly Barlowe, and Matt Frewer as Jim Taggart, Eureka premiered July 18, 2006, on the SciFi Channel.

Eureka is yet another excellent series produced by the Sci-Fi Channel. The writing throughout Season 1 was very good. The cast is an excellent combination of some new faces and some familiar ones.I am looking forward to Season 2 which begins in July,2007.

I love this show and never missed an episode. I have been waiting for the series to come to DVD so that I would be able to start collecting them all. Great plot line along with the whole comedic and character aspecs make this the best show i have seen in a while. Kudos to Sci-fi for another great creation.

There are so few shows on TV let alone SCIFI that are wholesome family viewing. Eureka has a great premise, wonderful quirky characters and no gratuitous sex or violence. From the pilot movie to the first season finale, to the hilarious Eureka infomercials running on SCIFI this summer, this show is a winner. I highly recommend owning this series. It requires repeat viewing.

I just finished watching Eureka Season One and enjoyed it with my family. Although, I missed seeing some episodes when they were first aired on Sci-Fi, I won't miss any of season two. Bravo!!!!!!

We stumbled on Eureka last summer (its seasons run only in summer) and became hooked on the character development very quickly. So I ordered the first season to get a "fix" over winter as well as the background on the story lines. Wonderful! and so nice to be able to watch without all the commercials...almost so spoiled by that, I would rather be a season behind and just order the DVD's.
